I visited Holland in 2012. I visited there my good friend Fabio and his wife Bibi. I met Fabio during me Ph.D stay in Grenoble – thanks to our similar humour we became quickly friends. The visit of Holland had also another reason, Bibi is coming from South Africa, where as it is generally knows are diamond mines. I travelled to Holland, at that time with my girlfriend Pavla, so I asked Bibi to buy me an engagement diamond ring for Pavla in South Africa and bring it to Holland. Amsterdam is a beautiful city, very photogenic and full of contrast. We also visited the biggest flower exhibition in Europe and took part of the traditional welcoming of spring by burning a 30 m high wood tower.
