I decided to make a bike trip through Slovenia in 2014, at that time together with my new neighbor Marcel. I had my Suzuki Intruder C800 and he had his Suzuki SV 650. A detailed description of our trip can be find in the attached article I send to a motorbike journal (Czech only). I also added the travel itinerary and the spend budget, in case you want to visit this country. Slovenia is of course a beautiful country. The locals are nice and helpful. I discovered that on my own when I stopped quite frequently to take pictures and cars stopped asking me if everything is ok. From the places we visited are certainly worth visiting the capital city Ljubljana, the mountain pass Vršič and the surrounding along the Soča river. Regarding the roads for bikers, there are plenty of them. Even they do not offer the luxury view of other alpine countries, but the curvature of the roads (in contrast with the 180° serpentines in Switzerland) are just right to drive through them in full speed J. The country itself? The locals told us that the mentality is divided by the geographic directions. The people from the eastern seacoast do not understand fully the language of the almost Hungarian western people. To me as an observer it seemed, that the population is divided into the European southern mentality at the seaside and the rest is like Austria. Beautiful nature, clean cities, everything seemed just a little bit more luxury then home... Travel budget Travel plan
