I was in Warsaw in 2014. I spend a whole week in the city during a conference which was held there. Fortunately the conference had two whole free afternoons in its program, so I had plenty of time to see the city. I did not expect very much from the city, so I have to admit that the old town was very nice, clean and all the buildings were reconstructed. In fact the old town is made out of a very long street and I had not the change to see the periphery of the city. Regarding the supposedly ugly soviet style sky scrapper ala hotel Imperial in the city centre, I liked it J. I walked through the city with a colleague from the University of Loeben and we had a very pleasant talk during the whole week...
